This service is not available for purchase by visa applicants and is not available to purchase online.

To book or discuss this service, please contact HookSME on find.SME@HookSME.au.

Arrangements can only be made with a MARA Registered Migration Agent, or an Immigration Lawyer.

The service will identify and secure the services of an SME, to perform the following 3 stage process:

Stage 1 - Zero fee charged.

An identified SME will review the resume of the proposed visa applicant; share their preliminary view on the achievements of the visa applicant; and if they feel that the visa applicant has achieved the required record of achievement for the visa that they plan to apply for.

If they do, then this SME will be introduced to the Registered Migration Agent or Immigration Lawyer.

---

Stage 2 - If all parties agree to progress from Stage 1, then two fee's immediately become payable to two different entities as follows.  These fees must be paid in full prior to commencement of Stage 2, and are non refundable.

- Fee charged to the MARA Registered Migration Agent or Immigration Lawyer representing the visa applicant.  Charged by HookSME for identification of a suitable SME.  $1,000 + GST (if applicable).  Non refundable.

- Fee charged to the MARA Registered Migration Agent or Immigration Lawyer representing the visa applicant.  Charged by the SME (who will hold an ABN) for performing Stage 2.  $1,000 + GST (if applicable).  Non refundable.

During Stage 2, the SME will review all available documentation and evidence supporting the visa applicants career achievements.  This may include reading supporting documentation; reviewing published papers; watching video recordings of conferences; listening to recordings of interviews; etc.

The SME will then meet the visa applicant via video conferencing facilities, and perform a comprehensive interview to further understand the visa applicant's career achievements.

---

Stage 3  - Zero fee charged.

The SME will provide a written response detailing their assessment. This will either be an explanation of why they are not willing to support the visa application, or the SME will complete any appropriate forms or documents, and provide required supporting documentation to the MARA Registered Migration Agent or Immigration Lawyer representing the visa applicant.

---

The SME will be from the same industry as the Visa Applicant and in a more senior position, with a national reputation in Australia. The appointed SME will provide documentary evidence that they are an Australian Citizen (or Permanent Resident living in Australia).
